Flint Hill Goods Truck Bed Extender Review - 2021 Ford Ranger

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods truck bed extender on our 2021 Ford Ranger. The truck bed extender is going to be the perfect opportunity if you find yourself picking up some of those longer or more bulkier items, such as our kayaks, maybe some lumber from the hardware store, or any other items that we might need extra space for that can't quite fit in our bed. We are gonna have a two-inch shank fitting inside our two-inch receiver tube here. We do not have a pin and clip included with this, so you are going to have to pick up your own. Feel free to check out the ones we have available here at etrailer.com. more

Flint Hill Goods Truck Bed Extender Review - 2022 Ford Maverick

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods truck bed extender and seeing how it fits and works with our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now obviously the Maverick has a pretty short bed and while that can be very limiting for the types of cargo we might be carrying you can have a solution for it and that is a truck bed extender. It's going to slide into our 2" by 2" receiver tube and give us a way to extend the truck bed. It's got a couple different positions though so you can have it extended in the truck bed like this or if you have a ladder rack like we'll show you in just a bit it'll work with that too, allowing us to more evenly support any of these extended loads like lumber, ladders or a kayak like we have here. Now the extender is height adjustable. more

Now we already have it loaded up in our first position and we're going to go over some features then show you our second position. Here this is going to be great for anything that's a large load, maybe across the top of your cab all the way back, or if you have it sitting diagonal from your truck bed to your extend-a-truck here. We've got our two points on either end, those would be great for tie down points. If you don't have any straps to go with this we do have some available here at etrailer.com. We've got all these different mounting points, five different holes where you can mount the T portion here. So you can line it up with your cab, or if you have a roof rack you can line it up with that, or you can have it lower, however you need to adjust it, it does adjust in those increments there. We're going to take a few measurements. First is going to be the closest point, we're going to have about 7 1/2 inches, added to our vehicle we have about 9 1/2 inches and we got a ground clearance of about 16 1/2 inches. more

In our first position we're going to take a few measurements and go over some features of the extended truck itself. Here in the first position we've got it set to our highest point. This is going to line up with our vehicles roof or roof rack if we have one on. What's great about this is not only does it work lined up with your vehicles roof, but maybe if you have items that you want to put at an angle you can lay those in your truck bed and then line them up. more

Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Ford F-150- Video

Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Ford F-150

Today in our 2011, Ford F-150 we are doing a test fit of the Darby Extend-A-Truck hitch mounted load extender. That part number is DTA944. Now we already have it here in our first position. We will show you our second position and take a few measurements and then also explain more as to what you can put on our extender. Now, here in this position it's going to be great if you plan on carrying anything on the cab of your truck or maybe you have crossbars and the load is a little longer. So say you have PVC pipe or lumber or even a large kayak or boat; you could stick that on the top. We have these nice tie downs here on either side to secure with any straps that you may have. Now, on our T-point here we actually have different spots where you can mount our Extend-A-Truck so if you do have those crossbars and they're a little higher than your cab you can always lift it up or lower it wherever you need to. Now, in this position we will take a few measurements. Overall, to our truck we are adding about 8 inches there. Our closest point is going to be about 5 3/4 inches between the two. And then our ground clearance down here.we're going to have about 17 inches. Now to put this into our second position; we'll first need to remove this T-piece here by removing the pin and clip. You can lift that off and set it off to the side. Then we will take our bottom piece and remove this pin and clip as well and switch that around. So we've got that switched into place. We'll just line up our pin holes. Reinsert one of our pins here. Now whenever you do purchase your load extender, it does come with both of your pins and clips. One for your hitch and one for your other piece. And then if we lower our tailgate here, we will be able to line up our T-piece with that. It looks like we're going to be on the last spot here. We'll replace our clip. And we're ready to go. So here we can load up anything that we need on our truck bed that again is longer, again like your PVC pipe or lumber. You can use those tie-downs once again. Now if we take a few measurements to figure out the distance between the tailgate and our Extend-A-Truck; we are going to have about 28 1/4 inches there. Adding to our actual truck; we are adding about 49 1/2 inches. So there is some regulation with Department of Transportation where you may have to put a red or orange flag on the back. more

Today on our 2014 Ford F-150, we're going to do a test fit of the Darby Extend-a-truck Hitch-mounted load extender, part number is DTA944. We already have it on our vehicle. I'd like to just show you a few features of it. In this position, see this is level, pretty much with the cab of your truck. It also has the tie-downs, so if you wanted to tie anything down. Let's say if you needed to put any PCV pipes, ladders, lumber, or even a Kayak or a canoe, you could actually set it on top, tie down to here, and it would be better for you if you have any roof rack on there, also. more
